NNKF is hosting a Stakeholders Engagement Workshop to serve as a Framework Convention for Kidney Support in Nigeria, bringing together the Federal and State Ministries of Health, the National Health Insurance Authority, hospitals and kidney centres, nephrologists, dialysis machine suppliers, pharmaceutical companies, NGOs, patient associations and international development partners.
The workshop aims to identify the gaps in kidney healthcare and propose practical solutions, present NNKF's 2025–2030 Strategic Plan, establish a multi-stakeholder working group, develop a community-based screening outreach model, and align policy with SDG 3 — Good Health and Well-Being.
Expected outcomes include a 12-month national action plan, a Stakeholder Partnership Declaration, the launch of the NNKF Kidney Screening and Support Expansion Programme, and the creation of a Donor & Sponsorship Network for kidney patients.
